How it’s worked out
A yahrzeit begins at sunset the evening before. Died on 30 Cheshvan or 30 Kislev: set by the first anniversary year. Died in Adar II: Adar in common years, Adar II in leap years. Died on 30 Adar I: 30 Sh’vat in common years. Died in Adar of a common year: Adar I is shown in leap years, as hebcal does; some keep Adar II, some both.
