How it’s worked out
Work days: Sunday to Thursday. Israel’s legal rest days are skipped: both days of Rosh Hashana, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Shmini Atzeret, the first and seventh days of Pesach, Shavuot and Independence Day, plus Knesset election days (9 Apr 2019, 17 Sept 2019, 2 Mar 2020, 23 Mar 2021, 1 Nov 2022, 27 Oct 2026) and local election days (30 Oct 2018, 27 Feb 2024). A local election day is a rest day only where elections are held, and for voters registered there. Election dates not yet officially set are not included. Holiday eves and Chol HaMoed count as work days.
